Location: LOCATION:  Sabana-Sur/South – Calle Vieja (the Old Road that runs parallel alongside the Pista going into Santa Jose, across from Sabana Park). Turn South at the Controlaria (Pyramid looking bldg)  and go down about 2 blocks and it’s on the Right across the street from the Costa Rica Tennis Club parking lot.

Anchor Club – San José

Meetings: SUN 9:15am | MON-SAT 12 Noon

Location: Ave 6 y Calle 1, 2nd Floor

Directions: The address can be found on the map here. The address is @ the F coordinates (top and bottom) and between 3 and 4 (right and left coordinates). I’ve also pinpointed it on the picture below.

Walking: At Calle 1 and Avenida 6, there is an open air parking lot. Diagonally across the street from this parking lot, two or three doors in from the corner, you’ll see a doorway with the AA sign above it. Enter that door, go to the 2nd floor, you’re there!

Driving: San José is laid out on a grid. The center is at Ave Central and Calle Central. Then you need to know the odds and evens:

  • East side are Calle odds, west side are Calle evens;
  • South side are Ave evens, north side are Ave odds.

Streets are mostly one-way and not strictly alternating, so slow down and look before you turn!

From Escazú: Take Ave 10 west to Calle 3, turn left (north), go two blocks to Ave 6, turn left (east), park at the first place on the right (Parqueo Público) and walk half a block east to the Anchor Club, just past Calle 1, on the right.

Contact: Dennis 8385-4035 or Stewart 8306-3552 or email. Stewart can also be reached at 305-848-1312. This is a MagicJack # that rings at his home in Costa Rica. Calling this number from the states is charged just as if you were calling FL from the states — no international charge.
